Weeks ago I had this bright idea – take a photo everyday of 2015. A quick text message to Jamie Weir solidified the plans as we made a casual, almost non-existent pack to endeavor down this photographic road.
Weeks went by and soon it was new years day and I completely forgot to get myself outside during the daylight hours to snap away a beautifully inviting first photo of the year. Now here I was, the sun down, sitting at the in-laws trying to think of what possibilities existed for me now. It was on the ride home where it was decided – a total cop out on day 1. With the splendor of the city lights at my door step, and the power of Photoshop, a sleek warm view came to be.
This photo was taken on my Canon 7D Mark 1 with a EFS 17-85mm F4.6-5 lens at 17mm, shooting at 5 seconds with an ISO setting of 100. There is a total of 5 pictures all stitched together using Photoshop’s automated photomerge feature. The overcast sky gave the image a nice glow.
See you tomorrow.
