Turns out, it’s a full moon tonight. Jamie 1, Chuck 0.
Work is back in full swing and that adds a little bit of complication to this photo-a-day challenge. I was working from home today and was able to get out at lunch for a walk to a nearby park. This park would generally be teaming with squirrels, birds and hipsters that are thinking it is somehow ironic to be sitting in a park. With it being -26 though, no critter or skinny jean was to be found. There were some dad look-a-likes and kids playing hockey at the outdoor rink, but I couldn’t bring myself to being that creepy dude crouched down by a dead bush, snapping shots of children at the park.
I continued to walk in hopes that something would poke its head out, but these Torontonian animals aren’t too brave. I grab a few shots of a tree growing into a building, and some dried, frozen blueberries, but they didn’t turned out like I had hoped. Luckily though, I snapped off this shot of a tree that had enough interest for me to make it the shot of the day.
I used my Canon 7D Mark 1 with a Canon EF 24-70mm F4 L lens at 35mm, shooting at 1/15, F13, with an ISO setting of 200. In hindsight I could have lowered the F Stop and upped the shutter speed, but it was -26. It was a fairly sunny day when the shot was taken.
See you tomorrow.
