One of the important parts to this photo-a-day challenge, is that it shouldn’t always be a hindrance on the day. Vahida was off today, and while this past week I spent my lunches taking a walk and exploring, I wanted to spend this one with her. This took away from the usual time in the day that I would go out and get some more elaborate image, but I was happy it did.
The last week, Jamie and I have put a good deal of time and energy into these photos. It was our first full week, and we are still a little over-excited about the project so we have been putting in a lot more than we will be in the weeks or months to come. I knew one of these days I would have to break the ice and instead of getting a fancy picture, get a shot of something nice that is within the activities of my day. Something that I didn’t have to go out of my way for, or stage, or even pull out a big camera for. This shot was taken at Red Lobster where Vahida and I took mom out to dinner. It is their Crispy Shrimp Lettuce Wraps that we got as an appetizer, and combined with their Cheddar Bay Biscuits, they came close to filling us up. I debated loading it into Photoshop and retouching a few areas, like the front where you can see all the sauce smears, but I decided I was going to post it au naturel.
I used my Samsung Note 4 with whatever lens it comes with. It was 100% auto, but Lightroom tells me it was at 1/25, F2.2, with an ISO setting of 320. It was lit by the ambient lighting in the restaurant.
