A Brick in the Wall

A Brick in the Wall

20 days down. Today, I took a walk with no expectations of what I would get. I was wandering around snapping off various shots and roaming into some different areas around our neighbourhood. As I was strolling, I walked by this very old looking building. The brickwork was very aged and as I walked around, I noticed one area that looked like it had some patchwork done. It was interesting because of the differences in the look of all the bricks. I am a big fan of brick buildings and as you might be discovering, also anything with an aged look to it. Between the pattern and the colour variations, I had to go with this for today’s shot.

As I was leaving, I saw a sign out in front of the building. It turns out it has some significance to the Toronto and Canadian art community. It is called the Studio Building and has a Wiki entry for those who want to know more about it.

I used my Samsung Note 4. It was 100% auto, but Lightroom tells me it was at 1/11, F2.2, with an ISO setting of 320. It was a sunny day, but later on and the sun was setting which meant fairly limited light.
