Day 23 took Vahida and I all the way to HomeSense! Recently we have been endeavoring to get our walls filled and make our place more personalized and homey. Because of this, we have been making a few trips to Ikea for picture frames and shelves. I have been antsy to complete our living room, and since I picked up our main wall print yesterday, I was in a hurry to get it in the frame and up on the wall. I was excited for today to be the day – right up until I realized that behind the drywall exterior was a concrete wall. This halted and destroyed any hopes to mount the shelves since I am not about to get into masonry drilling in a place that we do not own.
Taking a step back and re-thinking our options, we decided that at a minimum we could get the picture up and then figure out what we can do. It look a little doing and a good degree of frustration on my end, to get the picture to hang. I walked away, and Vahida was able to get the flippin frame wire to catch onto the nails on her first try. Sitting on the couch, we started to talk about what else we could do to fill the remaining white space. Hitting up Google, we looked through wall decor options. Nothing really struck our fancy so we decided to head out to HomeSense and see if we could be inspired by anything.
As luck would have it, Vahida was ripe with inspiration as we came across this box aisle. I took a snap of it because I thought all the boxes and the variety of different styles had some interest. I decided to make it today’s shot. I will share our wall once we have it completed.
I used my Samsung Note 4. It was 100% auto, but Lightroom tells me it was at 1/12, F2.2, with an ISO setting of 320. Today was a sunny day, but this was taken at night and we were completely inside the store.
