Duck on the snow

Paint me like one of your french girls

Just because I’m too late to make it Duck Week doesn’t mean I can’t make it Duck Half-Week! Just stick with me and we’ll make it through this.  Honestly, you’ll probably be better off in the long run, as this will allow me to get all of the duckfoolery out of my system now, rather than subject you to bouts of duckishness every month or so.

It might also just flip me over the edge and turn me in to an exclusively duck-based photographer.  Time will tell on this one.

For now, why not enjoy this mallard kicking it on a pile of snow?  It thought I had food, but I didn’t. I was about to feel bad about that, but before I had a chance I remembered that I was looking at a duck, and because filled with mirth.

This here was taken again with my 70-200mm f4 lens, zoomed out to 70mm (This dude was mad close), shooting at 1/1000 of a second, f4.5, and ISO 400.
