Wheat in the sunrise

If you’re fond of sand dunes and salty air

I’ll be out for most of the day mentoring at HTML500, a great place to learn the basic concepts of coding and styling websites.  Because of that I don’t expect to have time to take a shot, so here’s one from January.

My parents have many “odds and ends” around the house when it comes to plant life. One of the mornings where I went for a morning stroll, and I noticed the sun was sitting kind of nicely behind this patch.  While most everything else would be silhouetted if I exposed for the sky, these were thin enough to let the sun highlight them and show their colour.

I took this with my 24-70mm lens, zoomed out to 32 meters.  I shot at 1/160 of a second with an aperture of f10, and ISO 100.
