At lunch today, I decided it was time to go try out the new gym in our building. It has been open for a few weeks now and I had yet to go. Since I decided to do that, I didn’t get out for a shot at lunch. But I also didn’t want to just do another indoor studio shot today. This resulted in me heading out after work for a walk to the park while the sun was setting. It was a good time of day because the park doesn’t have a lot of big tall buildings getting in the way of the sun, which meant that the tennis courts were nicely lit up. Once I was done with my shooting for day though, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like anything that I got and after looking at this image, I wasn’t too impressed at first.

Today’s shot took a little bit of editing to get it into something that I was happy with. Though it was nothing more than the desaturation of the entire image while bringing a touch of it back in on the greens. From there, it was standard stuff like some contrast enhancements and tweaking the blacks to bring in more depth. Once it was all said and done, I was happy with today’s shot.

I used my Canon 7D Mark 1 with a Canon EF 24-70mm F4 L lens at 70mm, shooting at 1/100, F7.1, with an ISO setting of 100. It was a sunny day when the shot was taken and just around sunset.
