5 days without a bird photo? What kind of trash is that? Speaking of trash, here is a pigeon for today’s photo. Like most birds in the area, it appears that harbour pigeons know no fear. When you get close, they just stare at you expectantly until it is established that you will not be providing food. At that point they will poop and walk away from you at a very casual pace.
I took a few shots of this one before it egressed, using my 24-70mm lens zoomed in to 70mm. Shot this at 1/160 of a second at f8 with an ISO of 500, because that’s what Aperture mode decided was the right choice. I had to bump it up a stop in post since the camera sensor doesn’t know that snow is supposed to look that bright.
