Today was a semi failed attempt. I decided that I was going to attempt an eyeball shot. I knew the lighting of the shot would be hella tricky, but I was not prepared for just how tricky it was. Generally, when it comes to lighting I can jimmy things and get some sort of makeshift system going that gives me a shot that is in the range of what I was going for. Today though, there was no such luck. The eyeball is just to damn reflective.
Putting the lighting failure aside though, eyeballs are freaking cool man. I love how when you zoom in it almost looks like another world and you can see all these craters and depths. I find it completely amazing. The eyeball in question of course is Vahida’s (who I half blinded to get the shot). Once I had the shot and was done editing, we just had to see what mine would look like. Of course, that meant giving Vahida the camera to get the shot, which turned into a fun fiasco that resulted in one in focus shot. And I’ll say it again – the eyeball is freaking cool man. I am pretty proud of her for getting the shot she did!

I used my Canon 7D Mark 1 with extension tubes and my 50mm lens. It was shot at 1/200 of a second and had an ISO of 100 and I think F9. It was a nice day today with a break from the cold. Oh, and this was taken indoors at night with a flash.
Here is the shot Vahida got:
