Perfect Petals

Perfect Petals

Today was practically spring cleaning day for Vahida and I. We have been wanting to take some time to do a nice big clean for a few weeks now, and today we decided would be the day. My mom at this stage is probably really excited at the thought of one of her children doing spring cleaning, so I have to mention that it was not a full blown, all out, Mom Harris clean.

After our clean, it was time to head over to Vahida’s parents place for our weekly visit and dinner. All in all, with the activities of the day, I didn’t have any time to grab a photo. Instead I am posting one of my favourite summer flower shots that I took in 2014. This shot was taken in front of someone house where in their flower bed they had literally two flowers. I loved this one though, because of how perfect the petals look. My only disappointment in the shot is that I was not shooting RAW, which means that the only file I have is a dirty Jpeg.

This photo was taken on my Canon 7D Mark 1 with a 50mm lens, shooting at 1/1250 of a second at F 1.8 with an ISO setting of 100.  If I remember right, it was a beautiful sunny day.
