I took a walk today after work and it was pretty awesome. I brought my camera with me in hopes that I would find something to take a shot of. While I was out I did find a hawk hot spot, but was unable to get a good shot of it. Instead, this black bird flew onto a wire and I liked the little red/orange patch it had on its wing. Turns out it is called a Red-winged Blackbird, because people who name birds are creative.
This was taken on my Canon 7D with the Sigma 80-400mm at 400mm, at 1/1000 of a second, F7.1, and in ISO of 400. Today was a beautiful day.
