Today Vahida and I went out on an adventure to spend some time outside walking around in a place we have not been to before. This brought us first to a park in Mississauga called Mississauga Valley Park. I had a want to do some BBQing, followed up afterwards with a nice walk and hopefully some pictures. Luckily, this park offered everything we could have asked for with beautiful walking trails through the woods, a nice shaded park area to BBQ, and a creek filled with some crazy ducks. For some reason I am starting to think that it is mating season, because the way the ducks were acting was a little strange and there was a good deal of them. Also in this little creek was a mom and her newly hatched ducklings which were extremely adorable. More to come on that another day though.
This guy didn’t seem to do a lot other than stand on a rock. He would clean himself and puff himself up from time to time and also spend a bit of time standing on one leg. I don’t know anything about ducks, but I guess a portrayal of balance is a pretty sexy thing.
This was taken with my Canon 7D with a Sigma 80-400mm lens at 400mm, 1/100 of a second, F11 and an ISO of 500. Today was an really great day.
