When Vahida walked in the door after work today, I whisked her away to take a drive somewhere – anywhere really. Not for any purpose, but because it was Friday and we should get out for a spell and see some sights. We spent some time driving and when we got into farm country, I started to make some plans to get a shot of a field. The plants are starting to grow and with the nice, straight rows and a wide angle lens, I could get a pretty shot.
We came up to a field that I rather liked and there, flying in the sky was something that looked beautiful and majestic. I am not sure what, but I do assume it was a hawk. We watched it for a second to see where it was going to fly and then tried to follow it, only to lose it shortly after. We continued to drive though until we came across a field of horses where I spent some time. I got a number of shots that I am a fan of, but this is the favourite of the day.
I took with with my Canon 7D with a Sigma 80-400mm lens shooting at 1/500 of a second, F6.3 and ISO 1600. Today was a strange mix of sunny and rain.
