Today Vahida and I found out that we are pretty great at baking, and terrible at decorating said baked goods.
For kids Friday was the last day of school. This means that is it time for summer, and for some, the excitement of graduating. This was the case for one of my nieces on Vahida’s side, and to do something special, we decided to make and bring her 17 cupcakes saying “Congrats Maariyah!”. In the process of doing this, we found out that we are terrible at piping, but luckily, we are pretty awesome at spreading with a knife. To top these little gals off, Vahida did some diamond shaped tags for each letter that we then taped to a tooth pick and stuck into the cupcake. All in all, it turned out pretty cute. In our excitement to get out the door, I forgot to bring my camera though and as a result was not able to get a shot once it was all set up.
I took this with with Vahida’s NX3000 shooting at 1/180 of a second, F16 and ISO 100. I was to lazy to pull out my camera and external flashes, and the sun was down, so this is just a straight up front flash shot. Today was miserable again for weather, but amazing for company.
