Over 6 months ago, Jamie and I started this whole photo a day thing and as the months have rolled on, my feelings towards it have been moderately mixed, but generally always on the side of positive. It has given me some time to learn more about photography than I ever knew before, but it also has given me a new appreciation for it as an art.
Throughout the days, I have taken time to grab at least one photo – and often times far, far more than one. I will admit that some days were a lot more ambitious than other, like the day this photo was taken where I waited for 2 hours for the sun to set and froze me toes off (not literally, I still have all my toes). Coming home from this session though, I had a clear winner with the photo of Goostaf. However, as the days went on and I started to make edits to the other shots, this shot became one of my favourites for the year. I can’t say that it is my #1, but I can say it is in the top 5. It is a simple shot, with some fantastic colours combining together. I hope you like it, and thank you for joining me for the first half of Photo Year 2015. I am looking forward to 6 more months.
I took this with my Canon 7D and the 24-70mm F4 L lens shooting at .8 seconds, F22 with an ISO of 100.
