This was an impromptu idea I had today, and I figured it might be worth playing around with. I’m not currently blind, so it worked out better than expected.
I remember when camping as a kid, my friends and I would sometimes put a flashlight into our mouths and puff our cheeks out, as it would look funny. Some very brief and vague research indicated that those flashlights were probably around 1.5 watts per hour. My flash is around 60 watts per second.
I know wattage isn’t a great measurement, but it’s flashes use their own systems of power/brightness measurement vs other light sources, so this is all I’ve got to go on.
Point is, the flash is bright. And since I’m an idiot, I figured I might as well fire it in my mouth, because what’s the worst that could happen?
My self portrait collection grows. This one taken with my 24-70mm lens, shooting at 1/200 and f7.1 with an ISO of 100. An unmodified flash was used.
