Today we took Vahida on her first ever fishing trip and boat ride in a small boat. The weather might not have been the best, but the fish were biting and we knew we had to make the most out of the time that we have. Getting to the lake, we got everything set up in the boat and then set off to the first of many little holes that my dad and mom have discovered over the years. Dad was the first to pull out in, but Vahida was not to far behind – although her first was a pike.
After we landed a few and had enough for dinner, we decided to head to a bass hole in hopes of getting Vahida a nice fighting fish. When we were there, my mom spotted what she thought to be an eagle on the other side of the lake. We were all a little unsure, but we slowly made our way over there and this guy slowly came into view. She was right. We were able to get pretty close before he took off.
I took this with my Canon 7D shooting at 1/400 of a second, F6.3 and ISO 500. Today was a little cold and rainy, but mostly good.
