While walking through the woods, I saw a fair number of long legged spiders operating close to half capacity. Which is to say that where there should have been 8 legs, only about 4 remained. I’m officially one of those chumps that feels bad for bugs.
I came across this much more able bodied spider just taking a stroll through the bushes, and managed to focus on the body just as it was bridging a long gap between two leaves that would have left most other spiders stuck doing some sort of fancy webslinging to traverse.
I took this with my 70-200mm lens, shooting at 1/500 and f6.3 with an ISO of 2800.
