For the past several years I’ve gone to the CNE in Toronto at least once on Labour Day Weekend to see the air show. This year was the first of my missing it, since I no longer live in Toronto, and it’s been like, the hottest weekend ever here. The idea of standing at the waterfront for several hours during the hottest part of the day just didn’t seem like the most fun.
Lucky for me, I just happened to be walking through a river trail as a Lancaster bomber flew overhead to go to the airshow!
I just so happened to have the optimal lens for such a thing as well. Good times!
I took this with my 150-600mm lens, shooting at 1/1600 and f8, with an ISO of 800. I wasn’t intending to photograph a plane flying overhead, so my ISO and aperture were set for some stuff in the shade. I quickly cranked up my shutter speed and ended up in a good exposure area.
