Today Vahida made some bread and I had intentions to take some pictures of it once it was made, but instead we decided that dinner was a better idea. This left me having to do some thinking about what to grab a shot of for today. After dinner, we played a board game, and while we were playing, ate some leftover candy. Once the game was over, both Vahida and I had the same thought about a shot of the candy itself.
I got out my macro setup, and went about getting the picture, but found out that with my extension tubes, if I put the lens at anything other than wide open – or no more than two stops away from, I get some pretty terrible blow out in the center of the shot. At first I settled that it was the lens itself that was the problem, but after changing to a different one, the problem was still there. That lead me to the tubes, which is where I have landed as my culprit, but maybe I should research this some.
Canon 7D, 1/200 of a second, F2.8 and ISO 400. Today was wet and cold.
