In a change of pace, a Toronto team isn’t doing terrible, and for what is likely a long forgotten feeling, many citizens are feeling justified hype instead of ridiculous and futile hope.
As I write this, the Jays and Rangers are tied 4-4 in what is now the bottom of the 13th inning. I’m not normally too big on baseball, but when it gets to be a tie in extra time, that feeling of tension bleeds past my apathy towards just about any sport.
To celebrate the Toronto success insofar, I’m sharing a picture I took of Dermit the crooked-beaked blue jay. I’m pretty sure that’s berry juice on him, but he may have also just murdered some other animal, because he is just insane like that.
I took this with my 150-600mm lens, shooting at 1/800 and f6.3, with an ISO of 3200.
