I took a picture today. I was excited because it was going to be one of the few times this year where I literally took one picture and then called it at that. But the issue is that as this year has gone on, I am getting pickier and pickier with what I am liking. When we started out, I was ok with days where I would grab a quick whatever shot and toss it up. I am finding now though, that since I have a decent archive of shots that I either like or love, I am starting to shy away from the simple ok shots and instead thinking about the archive ones.
This shot was from Peggy’s Cove and it is one of my favourite from that day. There was this old, little, wooden boat and I just found myself drawn to it. I had to spend some time getting some shots, and as I took one after the other, I started to get more into it as a subject. I spent time being pickier than normal to get this lined up and centered. Since today’s shot turned out to be out of focus, I thought it was best to post one of my favourites.
Canon 7D, 1/500 of a second, F5.6 and ISO 100. Today was better than yesterday, but windy. Really windy.
