I’ve seen Eastern Kingbirds in two places this year. The first was in the bathroom-barren Tommy Thompson Park, and the second was hanging out by the QEW Niagara overpass, which is where I captured this one showing off some feathers. There were two flying about in the evergreens, and they seemed as curious about me as I was of them.
Realistically this probably means I was trespassing in their turf and they were five seconds away from divebombing me and pecking me to death. I like my vision of things better, though.
Taken with my 150-600mm lens, shooting at 1/1000 and f9, using ISO 500.
