On behalf of Vahida and myself and to those of you who celebrate – Merry Christmas. While this is not our holiday, we do hope that you all have a joyous day filled with family and love. It was a busy day today with a lot of cooking, eating, entertaining and laughter. We had a lot of fun and are happy that we got to share in on the festivities with some fantastic people.
This is a shot from the tree at my parents house and is a cute little snowman.
Canon 7D, 1/50 0f a second, F1.8 and ISO 3200. Today was a great day.
For those who are interested in some religious side of things, here is a little explanation as to why Muslims do not celebrate Christmas.
Muslims have a very big belief in Jesus (peace be upon him), but we do not believe that he was the messiah and the son of God. Instead we believe that he, like others before him, was a prophet sent to us by God. We also do not believe that he was born in December, but the biggest thing of all is that because Jesus(peace be upon him) is believed to not be the messiah, he must not be worshiped. We are to only worship God who has no one comparable to Him. There is a lot more that could be said, but that is the overall summary.
