That’s it, that’s all folks. 365 days of photos comes to an end and what a ride it has been. I have to say that this has been one enjoyable year, and I am glad that I took up the challenge. I will admit that there were days where I really didn’t feel like jumping on here and getting a post out, let a lone pulling out the camera to get a shot. There were many days where I drew a complete mental blank on something to shoot, but I pushed on and in the end, I have a great experience to look back on, and many photos to remind me of the challenge.
I learned a lot this year, and not just with photography. I can honestly say that I have a new appreciation for it though and don’t think I will be putting down the camera any time soon. I will, however, be calming it down a lot and do not plan to try another full 365 shot year.
Big shout out goes to Mr Weir for not only saying yes at the beginning on this year, but holding true to the end. He took some absolutely incredible photos and it has been a pleasure to share this challenge with him.
Finally, I have to say my biggest shout out has to go the love of my life – my wife Vahida. She has to put up with a lot this year from me gripping on about not knowing what to shoot, asking her to stop and help me with a shot, to taking a break mid walk, vacation, hike, drive so that I can go take a picture of something I thought interesting. She has supported me every minute of this year and has honestly been my biggest fan and sounding board. Thank you for your help and love.
This is a shot to celebrate the end. I wanted something that highlighted the camera in a bit of a different light. We decided to go with a little bit of a Bond motif here.
Canon 7D, 1/125 of a second, F9, and ISO 100. Today was a beautiful day.
